“Community” Paylocity’s communication and collaboration tool was lacking a user friendly and up to date way to share information.

Paylocity is a global HR platform with 3 million users worldwide. The “post box” used in “Community” was not meeting users expectations, it was lacking clarity of who you were posting too, and did not meet basic user experience needs. Over 70% of the companies using Community would turn off the ability to let their employees post. One HR Admin summed it up: “Our employees would constantly post to "All Company" over 650 people at a time without knowing it! – we got tired of it and turned off posting completely.”
I worked with product to prioritize the redesign and developed a new posting experience that allowed users to choose who they were posting to with clear calls to action. We were also able to implement other improvements as well like saving and scheduling a post. Our users had a desire to share ideas, multiple photos and more; and in turn it increased engagement on the platform and helped build trust with HR Admins – helping us meet our business goals.
